Domestic bauxite material homogenization process has developed rapidly in recent years , some large bauxite enterprise are introduced below .

1 ) Yangquan bauxite ore use semi-dry production process. 2 ) Henan bauxite calcination plant use “Long bin type to homogenize the library ” . Using semi-dry , dry fine grinding, grinding wheel hybrid ( Moisture 5% – 8% ) high ball press , heavy rotary kiln calcination . The product AL203 72%, bulk density > 2.8 , mullite quarry  > 95% , corundum phase, micro- glass phase 2%. Years of production showed calcined bauxite homogenized material does not laps, kiln -year run rate > 82% , the ball full rate> 80 , the pressure to meet the kiln temperature forging ball material burn requirements. Zhengzhou Oriental homogeneous companies use a calcination with gas furnace .

3 ) Hunan Chenxi , Jingzhou area use local bauxite . Massive pyrite ores first elected , and then wet fine grinding mill continuous vibration , wet iron , mud homogenization, pressure filtration , vacuum extruder clay , cut , dry, heavy forging kiln temperature burn , producing M60, M70 ( enterprise standard ) all-natural mullite. Melting furnace is into a fused mullite or by light burning . Datong alumina refractories Ltd. also uses a wet process , pulverized coal with low ash melting point ash kiln calcination . Similar process plant located in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi and other provinces. This process is not suitable for continuous grinding hardness variation in raw materials to cutting uneven , the amount of water allowed . Require larger homogenization tank, filter press is not easy, big drying strength, molding clay and sometimes poor .

4 ) America CE Guizhou production line use the local selection of finely ground ore purity homogenization, extrusion blow , down draft kiln calcination production of premium materials, the price is more than twice that of similar products . Direct fired because of the need to completely control and burn high : 700 kg / t of clinker . Physical and chemical indicators of its products AL203 89.5%, Ti20 4.0, R20 0.4%, Fe203 1.7%, clinker bulk density > 3.4

Wet synthetic processes are best , AL203 content errors can be stabilized within 11% , wet ground easily reach more than 325 projects , two series of high-strength magnetic iron can get rid of the wet material more than 40% of oxidized Rail. The material has wet ground surface area, lower calcination temperature 30 ~ 50 ℃ than the dry method , high bulk density 0.1 to 0.2 , a small wet dust pollution in the production process , good working conditions , it is difficult for other processes . The inadequacies of  wet process is a long process line, larger amount of water , heat consumption , the production cost is slightly higher than the dry method . The wet products of high quality , high sales price and high ultimately which make up the deficiencies.

Above all , chemical composition of the raw material processing has not changed ,  the dry mill to iron hard , wet to iron . Using high grade raw materials and low-grade ore to scheduled homogenized material composition , a large number of low-grade bauxite and crushing can be fully utilized , greatly improving resource utilization,making product variety , improving the high-alumina clinker quality bauxite , it has broad application prospects , also has important practical significance in today’s scarce resources . Some domestic production of high- grade bauxite individual homogenized material and alumina bauxite has obvious economic benefits as high quality .
